Emergency dispatch services are a partnership between the Fayette County 911 Communications District and the Sheriff.

Computer Aided Dispatch

Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) software enables dispatchers to efficiently coordinate response to calls for service requiring any combination of law enforcement, fire fighters, or emergency medical services.

We are currently implementing a new CAD which will provide enhanced services and capabilities such as Caller Location Query (CLQ) beginning April 2021.

Voice and Data Communications

FCSO leverages digital and analog radio systems coupled with mobile data terminals to rapidly provide first responders with up to date call for service information.

9-1-1 Services

9-1-1
The FCSO Communications Division serves as the sole public-safety answering point (PSAP) for the county where 911 calls are answered.

Fayette County participates in the nationwide ESInet which is short for IP-based Emergency Services IP Network.

How does this affect you?

First, ESInet is a required component as we progress towards implementing Next Generation 911 (NG911).

Second, ESInet provides ability to receive and respond to 911 calls from new technologies suck as Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP) and mobile phones.
