The Fayette County Detention Center provides services to individuals charged with offenses.

The Fayette County Detention Center is located within the Criminal Justice Center at 705 Justice Drive, Somerville, TN 38068.

The jail lobby is open daily from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm.

Booking and Misdemeanor Citations
If you have been issued a misdemeanor citation please bring the following when you report for booking:
- Government issued photo identification (Optional)
- Your copy of the citation (Optional)
- Booking Fee, $10 CASH EXACT CHANGE ONLY (MANDATORY)

Inmate Phone Calls
Inmates have access to telephone services provided by Global Tel*Link (GTL).
Adding Funds
Friends and family may place funds on an inmate's phone account in person using a kiosk in the Jail Lobby. Cash, debit, and credit are accepted by the kiosk.
You may also add funds online using a debit or credit card.
You may contact GTL ConnectNetwork Customer Support directly at 1-877-650-4249 to create an account for an inmate at the Fayette County Detention Center.
Blocking Calls from an Inmate
Call GTL at 1-877-856-3184, select option 1 to block calls from inmates at the Fayette County Detention Center.

You may leave voicemail for an inmate by calling 1-901-641-6434. There is a fee for this service.
Important: You must have an active GTL AdvancePay account with enough funds to cover the cost of a voicemail. Each time you leave an inmate voicemail, the cost will be deducted from your AdvancePay account balance (non-refundable).

NOTE: Inmate mail received at any address other than the Fayette County Detention Center cannot be hand delivered to the jail by friends and/or family of the inmate and will be destroyed.
All mail, excluding privileged mail, is opened and inspected for contraband and may be read by staff.
Mail Limitations and Restrictions:
- NO magazines or hard cover books of any type.
- NO mail containing pornographic, gang, or narcotic related materials
- NO mail containig stickers, tape. Only postage stamps may be applied to the outside of the envelope. Any envelope or letter containing stickers or tape shall be rejected by the jail.
- NO cash or money orders. Do not send cash and money orders. They are not accepted through the mail and shall be rejected by the jail.
- Inmates are allowed paperback books and newspapers. These must be must be mailed directly from the publisher or book supplier (Amazon, Barnes & Noble, etc.) to the jail.
- Paperback books and newspapers mailed from or delivered by individuals shall be rejected by the jail.
